Which Blondie song do you never get tired of performing?
Atomic! Although we do get tired after performing it! It’s a beast, but a really lovely one.
What’s the funniest thing that’s happened at a Totally Blondie gig?
Our Google Calendar changed the location of one of our venues because there are two Haslemere Halls. Our amazing bass player, Paul, ended up at the wrong hall and walked into a wake, asking where he needed to go for his gig!
We now sell an annual with our merchandise, and the attached comic strip explains the whole story. It’s definitely one we won’t forget!
What’s the most unexpected thing a fan has ever done at one of your shows?
The most unexpected person to turn up and see us was Simon Le Bon — and we had no idea he was there!
As he left at the end of the show, he passed us at our merchandise stand and mouthed, “Very good.”
I know that doesn’t quite answer the question! I was also once asked to sign a walking stick.
If you could only perform three Blondie songs, which would you choose?
There are so many to choose from! We’d go for Detroit 442, Rapture and Atomic — plus Blondie’s version of David Bowie’s Heroes if we could sneak in an extra one!
Which Blondie song gets the biggest reaction from the audience?
One Way or Another — it always gets the crowd going!
