The Bathtub Orchestra began in 2018 as a small, welcoming group with a simple idea: to bring people in our community together through music, whatever their experience or ability. From the very start, inclusivity has been at the heart of everything we do. 

We love playing a diverse range of music and performing at local events, sharing the joy of live performance with audiences across the area. Since those early days, we’ve grown to around 35 memberswith ages ranging from 20 to 85.  Along the way, we’ve built lasting friendships, embraced new challenges, and made the most of every opportunity that’s come our way.

Our orchestra is wonderfully diverse with exciting variety of instruments bringing colour and character to our sound. Music is not only creatively fulfilling; it’s fantastic for mental wellbeing too. We always leave rehearsals and performances feeling uplifted, energised, and smiling.

We now enjoy an annual adventure beyond Bath, and this year we’re especially thrilled to be performing at the Landmark Theatre. We hope our journey inspires some of you to dust off your instruments and join a local group — you might just discover how rewarding it can be.
